Anne & Mike's Wedding at the National Gallery in Ottawa
Photographed by Christina
Anne & Mike are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They are so crazy in love and the entire day they had huge ear-to-ear grins - just beaming! They were married at the National Gallery in Ottawa, which is one of my favorite buildings in the entire world. When I lived in Ottawa I'd spend many hours just hanging out and taking in the art. After they told me where they were getting married there - and that it would be at night - I was so excited! The reception & ceremony were held in the grand hall, which has a view of the Parliament buildings and it's lit like nothing you've ever seen before. Anne & Mike were up for anything (even posing in the new spider sculpture installment outside) and they were so genuinely nice and easy-going throughout the portrait session (and day). I'm so happy for these two! Enjoy the pictures!

Our Friends Jenna & Tristan Got Married!
Jenna, Tristan & I all went to the same school, the Western Academy of Photography, and we're also really good friends. Jenna & I have shot quite a few weddings together and she is one of my favorite photographers in the whole wide world (and Tristan too!). I was so excited to attend their wedding, which was photographed by the infamous Ben Chrisman & Erin Reed (check out their work). These two were rated among top 10 wedding photographers on the planet by American Photo Magazine. With 22 (yes 22!!) professional photographers at the celebration, you can bet that Jenna & Tristan are going to have the most wedding photos ever given to any couple ever. Their reception was the most fun I've attended and no one left the dance floor all night long. I think that's a huge credit to Angus of Party People's Sound Solutions, not to to mention Jenna & Tristan's extremely high-energy friends and family (including all of us photographers). Everyone of all ages were grooving to funk, swing & everything in between. We stayed up until the very wee wee wee hours of the morning hanging out and being geeky in Jenna & Tristan's hotel room (the photo there shows Ben & Erin with Jenna & Tristan). The next day we all got together at the Mint to enjoy listening to our friend Eddie DJ. These are just a few fun photos I thought I'd share. I left out the in-joke ones, which are on a special website. If you attended the wedding and want to see more, please email me and I'll send ya the link. :)
That's me - very excited to wear high heels and a dress to a wedding!! Thanks Veronique for taking this shot.

Lauriann & Jermaine's Wedding in the Bronx, NY - Sneak Peek
We have to admit, we did a huge happy dance when Lauriann & Jermaine chose us to photograph their wedding. It wasn't just because New York is the greatest city on earth (which it is), it was because we could just tell this was going to be a great wedding (and it was). Lauriann & I had a few conversations before the big day and every time I'd get off the phone and say, "Wow! She's so nice!" And when we met her & Jermaine we did a double happy dance because they are nice *and* beautiful! Julie & I had such a fantastic time getting to know these two and their very close-knit families. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. This will be a triple blog post - we can't help ourselves. :)
