Sarah & Adam's Wedding at The Royal in Cancun, Mexico

Sarah & Adam are people who like to have fun and their beach wedding in Mexico was all that and more. I think the slideshow and photos best speak for the kind of party they had - a total blast and a treat to photograph! The DJ brought along all kinds of party favors and everyone got into character on the dance floor. We spent some time doing portraits on the beach after the ceremony just as the sun was setting and the sky turned into a magestic blue (incredible!)... and the next day we headed to the Playa del Carmen area for a trash the dress session in some of the lagoons. These two made me feel like one of the gang and I can't thank them enough for such a great time. Congratulations Sarah & Adam!

BEHOLD, THE CARDIGAN!

A winter bride's wedding attire wouldn't be complete without a luxurious white faux fur cape draped over her shoulders. But what’s a November bride to do who’s not looking for the winter wedding look, yet still needs to stay warm (and stylish) on those cool November days? Wear a cardigan of course! Not only will a cardigan help keep you warm, it adds that punch of colour so many brides are looking to add to their wedding day wardrobe.

Adding colour to a bride’s traditional white wedding attire is not a new trend but something that we’ve seen, in different forms, for years. It began with the dyed crinoline. Next, we tossed aside the typical white wedding shoe and brighly coloured chic & sassy designer footwear took their place - often symbolizing the bride’s “something blue”. Now... Behold, the cardigan! Viva loves this fun look!!

Victoria & Eric's Extraordinary Wedding in Antigua, Guatemala

Antigua, Guatemala is a place that can only be described as magical. As a UNESCO heritage site, it remains almost exactly as it originally looked when it was Spain's capital of Central America in the 1500-1700s. Victoria & Eric fell in love with this amazing city while visiting from New York and knew it would make a perfect backdrop for their destination wedding. They treated their 100 guests to an extraordinary celebration that included thousands of red roses and candles (2,000 during the ceremony alone). I can't speak highly enough of Gladys and her fabulous team at Saguzo Eventos (if you're getting married in Guatemala you HAVE to use the Saguzo team to coordinate your wedding!). Victoria & Eric were incredibly nice and so easy to work with. This wedding was one of my highlights of the year!
