Sneak Peek - Emma & Rob's Wedding at the Bear Mountain Resort in Victoria

When I met up with Emma & Rob and their families at the rehearsal I could tell this wedding was going to be a lot of fun and it definitely was. You can't spend even a minute in their company without some laughter. Best of all, you could see that this couple are great friends with each other as well as being completely in love. Emma's family is from Scotland and there were lots of really nice Scottish touches (check out the slideshow for a picture of her bouquet treatment and some kilt socks. LOL). The wedding was at the Bear Mountain Resort and we were treated to a gorgeous afternoon for photos at the 19th hole (there really is one here!). It was great to have the area to ourselves and not worry about getting out of the way of players. We were also permitted to take photos down in the wine cellar - one of the neatest locations for wedding photography I've ever seen. Emma & Rob, congratulations - you are rock stars!!

Jessica & Justin's Wedding in Victoria - Sneak Peek

Jessica & Justin have been in love since they were 13 and their parents would get together for card games. Jessica's mother commented in her speech that she saw the sparks flying and just knew something was going to happen. Those sparks were still spark sparkin' away when these two said their I-dos at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. We did the photography before the wedding, which meant we had great sunlight for pictures before their evening ceremony. For entertainment, they had decks of cards and the video game Rock Band, which they performed instead of a first dance. How cool is that? I absolutely loved the Victorian feel of this wedding. These two were incredibly easy-going and Kelli & I had so much fun. Jessica & Justin - congratulations! We were so honoured to be a part of your day.

Indrani & Jason's Wedding in Victoria - The Portraits

Indrani and Jason's wedding at the Brentwood Bay Lodge was my last wedding of this season and I have to say it was one of the most fun weddings ever. Although it was poring rain all morning we had a little break just for the pictures. We found a farm close to Brentwood Bay to shoot their portraits and that amazing
barn framed thesese two just perfectly. Jason's groomsman had so much energy that we knew right there that the reception would be a great big party. And boy they did know how to party!!! After the first dance the guys performed " Thriller" and it was impressive how they had all the moves. It was pleasure to work with Indrani and Jason - they were such a sweet couple! Thank you guys for including us as part of your day!

We've broken up the blog posts into two. This one will feature the portraits and the other one will feature the photojournalism moments. :)
