Julie & Jay's Wedding at the Chateau Cartier in Gatineau, Quebec

Julie & Jay are surrounded by people who care about them very much and this wedding was all about that love. From the moment you meet them you are disarmed by their friendliness and I think the photos show how much fun they are. Their wedding was set outdoors at the Chateau Cartier in Gatineau, Quebec (right across the river from Ottawa). All of the details were impeccable and exquisitely chosen. For portraits, we found a great spot at the Ottawa River, around the corner from the hotel with fantastic light and lots of wildflowers and trees. I am a complete sucker for tear jerkers and the speeches got me to the point where I was grateful for auto focus because I couldn't see through the view finder for tears. I brought along the talented Robin Gartner as a second photographer and I am so excited to share some of her shots. Julie & Jay, we had such a great time getting to know you both. You are beautiful inside and out -- congratulations!

Anne & Mike's Wedding at the National Gallery in Ottawa

Anne & Mike are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They are so crazy in love and the entire day they had huge ear-to-ear grins - just beaming! They were married at the National Gallery in Ottawa, which is one of my favorite buildings in the entire world. When I lived in Ottawa I'd spend many hours just hanging out and taking in the art. After they told me where they were getting married there - and that it would be at night - I was so excited! The reception & ceremony were held in the grand hall, which has a view of the Parliament buildings and it's lit like nothing you've ever seen before. Anne & Mike were up for anything (even posing in the new spider sculpture installment outside) and they were so genuinely nice and easy-going throughout the portrait session (and day). I'm so happy for these two! Enjoy the pictures!
